We just did this trip last week and it was the highlight of your trip. Driving time without factoring in stops was about 3 hours round trip. We stopped to see some sights and at caribou crossing for about an hour so total for stops for sights was about 1.5 hours. Have fun and murrays guide is great! I got the audio since part of the time I was driving alone (husband and kids took the train to Fraser one way) and really enjoyed it.
