VI-Mexican Riveria Is it Worth It?

Has anyone done this cruise recently? We have friends that have asked us to join them in September and am not sure if it is worth it. We actually just did the same cruise on the Carnival Pride and had a blast. It has been about 2 years since I sailed with RCCL and am just wondering if anything has changed (ie. food any better?) Some feedback will greatly be appreciated!

we just did the mexican riviera 1/21-28 on the sapphire princess. we LOVED it...weather down the first few days was a bit chilly, but after that it was picture perfect. the water in mexico was very cold as well, but the sun and air were very warm. did some shopping and hit a few beaches. we did puerto vallarta, mazatlan and cabo san lucas. enjoy if u decide to go!!
