Shipsareus Posted October 25, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2021 Off to the Caribbean soon and getting all our documents together. we have checked with our bank that we have the cover specified by P&O but on our online portal with the bank it shows the whole policy - 48 pages! Anybody who has travelled recently - could you advise what document you provided at check in. We are with the Rooyal bank of Scotland. many thanks
GOQ Posted October 25, 2021 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2021 (edited) I took my policy document and I also requested a letter from my insurer explicitly stating (as the policy document was rather vague regarding cruise cover) that the cover included cruises. They (Marella) just glanced at the policy and passed me through the check. "If you just dump the whole policy document in front of the boarding checker I think they might be unlikely to read through the whole thing to find out if it includes cruise cover or not, what do others think ? Unless they already have a shortlist of those insurers which do Not include cruise cover as part of the policy. This is a 2 page summary including cruise cover. I will take the policy booklet as well just to be sure.
