Tell me about the Fun Pass

Forgive my ignorance. But...is the Fun Pass something that "has" to be done? Or just something that makes check in at the dock faster? Does it really speed things up? Just go to Carnival.com to do this?

TIA

I'm ready for my next cruise!! Cruise booking time!

My TA highly suggested filling out the fun pass. It will save time at the pier. She also said that there are still a few glitches in it. WE filled ours out with no problem. Have your booking number, sail date and ship handy.

Some people are having problems printing out the blue fun pass after the info for each room is submitted. I printed out the page that has you check that all information is entered correctly. Then I printed the fun pass. The pass is blue and will have all the guest for each cabin listed. One blue fun pass for cabin. Don't click on the print fun pass on the page. Use your print function on your computer. People have had better results with that.

Also if your a past cruiser and you mark the yes button, don't be surprised if at the end it states no to past guest. Take your past guest number with you to the pier (especially if it's a 7 day cruise) so you can be invited to the past guest party. Free drinks and hor'dourvs (sp?).

Hope this helped.

almost forgot...you need your after cruise info also...like if you're going to a hotel, name of hotel etc. or if you are catching a flight, flight time airline etc.

When I print the blue fun pass, it only prints a small rectangle which lists both passengers names, booking number, and states that it is complete. Is this what I am supposed to see?
I would have thought that they needed the full gamut of info like address etc. I just don't want to get to embarkation and not have the correct documentation, the sooner onboard with my foo foo drink, the better :-)

I only have that blue rectangle too...my understanding is that is all you need...not all the information written, just something to prove that the information is all in the computer....This saves you from having to give the information (including your after cruise plans) at the pier. I know there has been some conflicting information, so someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...but I think this is all we need.

So once you do the "fun pass" thing online. All you do is take that w/ the travel docs they send you and check in is quicker?

JD- Yep lots of folks are retired from Wright Patt, I even have a few in the family. This town would be nothing without the base. Unfortunately I cannot retire for another long while

I used to work right off of Needmore in Riverside/ Dayton, but I actually live in Bellbrook.
