Must Have Items for NCL cruise?

Hey all!! Experienced cruiser on RCL, going on first NCL cruise.  Curious if there are any special things that will help make our experience better.

 

will be on NCL Dawn

Are the “light” cards helpful or necessary?

Do they punch holes for sea cards (not sure what they are called on NCL) or do we need the plastic cover?

For drink package are given a souvenir cup or is it just on your card you have it?

 

any other tips or recommendations?

Are the “light” cards helpful or necessary? If you want cabin lights, yes a card is necessary. We use something other than a credit card for safety sake.

Do they punch holes for sea cards (not sure what they are called on NCL) or do we need the plastic cover? You can have a hole punched at the casino.

For drink package are given a souvenir cup or is it just on your card you have it? If not mistaken, you sail and sign card has what they need.

The key cards include an embedded microchip, so punching a hole in them can disable the card.  The codes for the beverage and dining packages are printed and encoded on your key card.  The Ultimate Beverage Package does not include a souvenir cup, but the Soda Package does.
