For anyone who has received the exemption.  How long did you wait to get it?  How did it come? Email? US mail?

my friend submitted her medical exemption request as soon as her booking was paid in full.  We cruise on May 2, on Valor.  Still waiting to hear.

just curious on others experiences getting one.

also , has anyone been denied?

thank you!

My friend's grown son got his almost immediately for a cruise that was about 3 weeks out. For my husband, he didn't get his until 5 days after booking (also 3+ weeks out). We had received the vaccine survey and had to respond within 48 hours to that. I was waiting for the letter before responding, but it didn't come. I did the survey because the 48 hours was expiring and we got the exemption letter (via email) the next day. All the testing and what not, it's a pain. I'm sailing without him the next time😂 (even though he has the great deals on his VIFP 🙄).

Probably should quote them or at least @lupster1 so they know you're requesting a response. Sorry I can't answer all your questions. I'm pretty sure at least some were denied exemptions. Some didn't receive their exemptions until really late. Carnival only allows up to 5% exemptions and they can't determine the number until the sailing nears. More kids in summer and holiday cruises increases demand, better chances of approval off-peak.

The survey was in my cruise manager booking page, but they sent me an email 2 days after booking/final payment that we needed to respond within 48 hours.

As @mondello mentioned, they only allow a certain percentage of exemptions. Given that your cruise is 3 months out, they might be waiting to sell a few more and receive the vax questionnaires to see how many exemptions they can allow. I know the waiting is hard, especially since you don't want to book anything else until you know.
