Garden of the Groves - Freeport

Thoughts on visiting Garden of the Groves and distance from the port?  Cost of a taxi?   I don’t see a lot That interests me in Freeport.  What is walking distance just off the ship.  Is there shopping, park, etc?

There are some shops in the immediate port area.  DH and I were in Freeport in July right after cruises started up last year.  Many vendors were closed, like Senor Frogs, but there were still some shops open.  Not sure what it is currently like though.

We visited there.  It was a nice day.  Not a national park or anything but very peaceful.  Here is one view.

Interested in this as a possibility for cruise next April.  Do you remember if you took a taxi or booked a tour.  Costs, length of time, etc.?

We went on a tour.  Don't remember the cost and it was a half day that included another stop
