cellfree Posted March 16, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2022 Got Cabin number today, not too bad a location, came along with an offer to upgrade, not worth the difference in price, just glad the “suspense” is over, actually surprised it came in such a timely manner. ineed-a-vacation Posted March 16, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2022 When is your sail date? I'm at 15 days out and still waiting. From what I am hearing, I have 11 more days to wait.

ineed-a-vacation Posted March 16, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2022 Sounds like there is no rhyme or reason to how they assign cabins.

Agree, and the interesting thing is I got my boarding docs and was able to print them out, strange.
ineed-a-vacation Posted March 17, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 17, 2022 They actually sent me an email today, the first communication that I have received from them since booking my trip. It was a reminder to have phone number, email address and home address in order to print my cruise tickets. This is something that I added months ago when I set up my account. There was also a web check-in button in the email which still only allows me to add the above information along with passport information. It will not accept picture or credit card information and still gives the message that cruise tickets can't be printed because I don't have a cabin assignment yet. So I really don't know what the purpose of the email was. Oh well, they no longer offer Super Family cabins, so there is no chance that I will ever book a guaranteed room on any line so I won't ever deal with this again. shecup Posted March 20, 2022 #7 Share Posted March 20, 2022 Got my cabin after booking deck 13 in a good location due to being a lighter sleeper and we got assigned the first cabin next to the elevators and stairs on deck 11. And now my TA is not responding to my communications to move us. Ugh
ineed-a-vacation Posted March 27, 2022 #8 Share Posted March 27, 2022 Well 4 days out today and still no cabin assignment. Called customer service to see what explanation they would give this time. Was told this time that it could take to 48 hours before boarding to receive cabin assignment and that the Captain of each ship is responsible for this and they don't do it until they reach a certain number of passengers booked. I was very polite because I know they really don't know, but told her that I believe the Captain has way more important things to worry about than to make sure I have my cabin assignment. She said that's just always what she says. I said well I'm sure the Captain has people that do that for him. I'm sure it's not even done on the actual ship. That's something someone at corporate probably does but not having a cabin assignment 4 days before sailing is very nerve-wrecking.
