peanutprincess1977 Posted February 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2006 Has anyone done this Carnival excursion? Was it worth the money? How long was the actual dive part and was there enough time to explore Coral World after or before it?
luvdasea Posted February 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2006 :) Just got back. My husband and son (12) did the helmet dive. My son loved it. My younger son watched through the observation area. We booked it on our own. Cheaper through the internet. You do have to pay for a taxi to Coki beach. ( I thought the taxi was a rip off but they have standard rates) Contact Trish at Coral World through the web site-very helpful. They gave instruction before you go under-I thought they were very thorough. The key was to be early. We got off the ship at 8:30 and got to Coral World for 9 am. No one else was there. Got special attention. Then more groups came. Coral World is very small. My younger son enjoyed it. (But it's not Seaworld) Then we went snorkeling right at Coki beach. Easy and lots of fish. Got buckets of Coronas. It was pretty and not too crowded. The water was calm and beautiful. Would recommend going to Coki instead of trying to rush to St. John's. My kids are still saying that this was the best day of their lives!:)
