Howdy Y'all!

Just recently got back from the Miracle 10 Day to Alaska out of San Francisco! I'm more than happy to disappoint all of you with this photo heavy review.... It was just me and my girlfriend, who will from here on out be known as B. I've been to Alaska once before, in 2016 on Ruby Princess, and it was B's first time. Most notably for the review, despite 29 cruises and 157 days with Carnival, this was my first time on a Spirit class ship! I was more than intrigued.  Anyway, off we go... we are traveling from HOT home in Dallas to the Bay Area and ready to roll... let's see how it goes, shall we???

Early early flight from Dallas Love. We’re Southwest people. Love is so much more convenient than DFW… and #GoMeanGreen

it was crazy early, but God Bless Whataburger for having breakfast at the ready….

Smooth flight… slowly descending on the Bay Area

flying into Oakland was considerably cheaper than into SFO, so welcome to the home of MC Hammer and Rickey Henderson… Oaktown Baby!

Found the Uber pickup area with no problem. Just outside the baggage claim. The app makes it clear, and the airport is simple.

the weather was instantly incredible. Forty degrees cooler than Texas. And hey! As a guy with a Cuban dad, the Uber driver was my people! Viva Cuba!

Dropped our bags early at the bell desk at our hotel (the RIU Fisherman’s Wharf) and off to Pier 39. A short, easy walk.

Side note here to point out that this is the first cruise EVER we didn’t do the cheers package. It’s a long sailing (so it’s crazy $$$) and with the port intensive Alaska itinerary, we decided to take it drink by drink.
