Administrative issues…

 

My selfie tour was canceled at Corfu due to lack of participation… ugh… so I will tour the town on my own!

 

The Wi-Fi is Sooooo SLOW I can’t really do much … thank goodness I resisted to upgrade… it is not usable even when we are half full!  I am using the minutes they gave me to download email and send email and that is about it.  To upgrade to unlimited for 7 days it’s $49.95 … don’t do it you will be pulling your hair out.  Royal is the fastest at sea followed by Carnival and NCL is like at way way way bottom of the list.

They definitely under sold this attraction … I find it stunning and beautiful!  You do start at the gift shop 😂 it is very very very busy and about 60 minutes away from the port.

Her’s is the extended 9 day version.  We live in very small town and she is frustrated over lack of testing sites to meet her boarding criteria. Has anyone recently done this cruise and waited to test for Covid in the Athens airport or locally?  She leaves on Thursday arriving in Athens Friday morning sailing on Sunday. We used eMed test kits for a NYE cruise, just make sure to get the ones that include an eDoc visit.

It was super easy, we used our phones on the hotels wifi, only took 15 minutes and we had the results emailed to us almost immediately. I believe NCL recommends a different brand, but it's the same process.

Its a long drive in between places about 60 minutes … so plenty of time to rest!  It’s not enough time to see every place in detail but I really can’t see myself island hop on my own due to the logistics and I love the convenience of a cruise ship!

The beautiful Friscardo village… it’s a fishing village with a small water front… if you don’t time it right you will be touring the village with the day trippers from other islands … when they arrive… WOW!

Quick bite … I ordered and paid for the food at the same time… here is an important tip… if you are in a rush … order and pay because unlike in the USA where they want you to eat and leave… in Greece you can sit at the same table forever and they won’t bring you a check ….
