Drink package- is it worth having?

We've gone for the classic drinks package. Worked out the best for us. We're not raging alcoholics but we do enjoy a few drinks when we're on holidays and like not having to worry about a bill at the end of the holiday... besides we'll probably more than cover the costs each day with the Diet Cokes and Red Bulls that are included also. 🙂

£700 OBC more than covered our drinks on our two weeks Arvia cruise (even managed to book a few shore excursions)

That said we were able to bring a bottle of spirits on (purchased tonic water on board) and also topped up with a few beers in port.

Are they checking people bringing alcohol on at ports now ?

We had a drinks package on Princess and were simply drinking for the hell of it.
