IIRC after the escape they moved the lifeboats in a bit, allowing the Bliss, Encore and Joy enough space to transit.

Even taking the lifeboats off for the transit, she is too wide, since the davits are "fixed" with the boats outside the ship.

I've been looking at a couple of the Joy's full transits for next year. 

They used a different davit for these ships, where the davit retracts into the ship, bringing the boat and davit arms closer to the side of the ship.
