Exchange rate increase on cruises in canadian dollars

No that is one the advantages of booking in your native currency.  If the CDN$ drops like it is now the price of your cruise is locked in and won't change.  You get the advantage of the currency discrepancy. If you the CDN$ goes up (unlikely in the near term) Royal will often adjust their current price to reflect the change and you can reprice at the new, lower price.  You win in either direction.

I have booked in both currencies as I have income and bank accounts in both countries.  I currently have 1 booked in CDN$ and 4 in US$

That's a relief. Yes i had already locked in a chops lunch. I'm dreading paying for excursions but my cruise isn't until june and its possible the dollar may increase by then or maybe it will go down more.😒

If you can afford it now I'd book now and look for price drops later. You can always cancel and rebook. Especially so if there are specific excursions you want to do.
