cruzqueenT Posted October 3, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2022 Hello, We have never had the pleasure of sailing in a aft corner balcony nor a FV and I have a few questions? On the Connie is the view blocked by the solid railing and is wind a concern in a corner aft? Are there currently still both loungers and a regular table with chairs available on the corner balconies? Thanks Bunches For Your Help!!!! Rare mahdnc Posted October 3, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2022 (edited) We will be in an aft corner FV on Connie starting on Oct 22 for 15 nights, so I can report back with current first hand info. We have been in an aft corner FV 4 previous times on Connie's sisters and I can tell you that, yes, the corner FV on Connie will have the solid bathtub wall that blocks the view in that particular direction. The views in the other directions are not obstructed. There is a great deal of protected area on that massive balcony that shelters you from the wind. The balcony area furthest from the balcony door is more exposed and so it can be more windy. Balcony for FV cabin 8166 on Infinity, Jan 6 2017, Montevideo Uruguay. canderson Posted October 3, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 3, 2022 Have sailed in corner FVs on both Infinity and Constellation. Great spaces! Wind no special issue, and never felt the "bathtub" to be an issue for view. Best, you can have sun or shade, exposure or privacy thanks to the overhead configuration. You'll also get 50% more closet space, even compared to the inboard FVs. We used to select sail dates based upon their availability.
canderson Posted October 3, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 3, 2022 Oops... add one Summit corner in Alaska to that list. The 270° views from the railing were amazing.
