Viable or pipe dream?

We will be docking at Havensight on a Sunday ~8am. I would love to get to Annaberg plantation on St John and explore. As I see it now our best option would be taxi to Red Hook, ferry, taxi to Annaberg and then reverse.

Main questions: how hard would it be to get a taxis at Annaberg? How much time should I allow for the trip back to Havensight?

Thanks!

That's hard to say. Most of the taxis that go there are taking people on an island tour and you never know when a tour is going there.

Your best bet is to reserve a private tour that includes Annaberg and leaves from the St John dock and brings you back to the ferry terminal after the tour. When I've been the taxi driver walked with us and gave narration. Beautiful experience! The timing could be similar to going to a beach.

I highly recommend Charlie of Charlie's Angels. 340 514 5000. I was on a tour with him in November 2022.
