lifeh2o4all Posted February 6, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2023 I always upgrade my drink package to premium, but our last two Celebrity cruises have provided limited value based on the wine and liquors available. I tend to gravitate to top shelf margaritas during the day and am happy with Cointreau and either Patron Silver or Don Julio Blanco, the latter is, or was, on the Classic Package list. I am thinking of saving the $20+ per day upgrade cost this time (Constellation next week) and just pay for anything over Classic Package. Anyone know what the cost is to add Cointreau to a drink with the Classic Package? I learn so much from CC and hope someone can answer this for me. Thanks. Last August usually had no additional charge. Other times $1 tp $2.
Cruising Divers Posted February 6, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2023 The house Celebrity margarita “mix” is horrendous. On our recent Apex cruise I only found one bartender who was able to make a semi-proper margarita; I asked him for squeezed lime juice, Patron and Cointreau so he took about 10 lime wedges and muddled them in a glass then strained the juice into a cup and then added the Patron, Cointreau and about a teaspoon of simple syrup and shook. It produced a drinkable margarita but was quite a bit of hassle and several other bartenders were unable to reproduce even that. Good luck.
