North Star and iFly with Star Class - Ovation

Does anyone have experience with how these (and other) activities are handled for Star Class? The website isn't overly clear, but it seems like there are paid and free versions of these experiences? Benefits say: "Enjoy reduced wait times for select onboard activities during published hours, excluding peak times between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm on Sea Days."

 

I assume you still pay if you want the Genie to take you during a paid time or is all of that included?

It's all included. We did both versions in May. Incidentally, the Genies are all fantastic on Ovation. Especially Dexter.

Might be a dumb question but...What are the Genies??

We were recently on Odyssey in Star Class suite, i assume the services provided will be similar on Ovation.

Our Genie made reservations for all the activities we wanted to do, then he would escort us (or meet us at the venue) and walk us straight in, no wait ever!!! And no extra charge, all activities were included. So for us, we did the Northstar, I-Fly, Virtual Reality (ii don't think they have that on Ovation). He also escorted us to reserved seats at all shows, and to reserved tables in all specialty restaurants.

He contacted us a week or two before our cruise, to introduce himself and get an idea of what we were interested in. Then he made a schedule for us including all dining reservations, shows and extra activities. We made changes, both before we boarded and while at sea.

It was a wonderful experience, and i felt so spoiled and pampered!! I thought i might never be able to sail without that service again....although i have and managed to enjoy myself without it!!! But I definitely hope to be able to sail in star class again some day!

The Genies are Royals version of a Butler that takes care of everything you need if you're staying in a Star Class Suite.

Awesome! Glad to hear that is the case. Appreciate all of the other tips as well - I have read a bunch. but couldn't find anything the paid / not paid stuff. We have been in the Crown Loft Suit before, but this will be the first time in a Grand Loft Suite w/ Star.

You will not want to go back. Star Class is an entirely different cruising experience.
