Interesting cruise tip for first-timer

I always bring those post-its not only to leave messages for each other and the cabin steward, but also to stick on each drawer and shelf with the appropriate person's name. It helps when you have 3-4 in one cabin.

I always bring an empty small duffle bag or backpack. I can use it for excursions to haul around beach towels, clean T-shirts, sunblock, etc. I can also use it as a spare suitcase to hold all those souvenirs I promise myself I won't buy, and can check it in at the airport, instead of trying to cram all that stuff in my large suitcase.
