Sigyn Posted August 17, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 17, 2023 We have three people flying, not sure if the BOGO is a deal in this instance. Also, can it be added after you book but before final payment?
Rare SimplyAlbert Posted August 17, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2023 You should add it at the time you book, but you can cancel it before final payment. A lot depends on where you are flying from and where you are flying to as to whether its a good deal or not. On our last cruise it was only $25 per person more to book our own airfare, so to me it wasn't worth giving up control of our flights. Keep in mind that when NCL books your flights you have no control over what airline, what times, whether you get a non-stop or a flight with connections. Most people have reported getting their itinerary between 30-60 days before the cruise. Some airlines will let you upgrade once ticketed and choose your seats, others will not. Also, they will only guaranty that the people ticketed in the same room will be on the same flight. In your situation if two are in one room and the other in a separate room, you could be on different flights. Its up to you if you're comfortable with this or not. For me, the savings would have to be substantial to take NCL up on the BOGO flights.
dexddd Posted August 18, 2023 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2023 For us, the issue was we didn't get flights until 40 days out so it leaves little time and fewer options for the third person.
Sigyn Posted August 18, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted August 18, 2023 Thanks for the info. I'll just book my own as planned. I usually have enough frequent flyer miles to get at least one ticket free anyway.
chiefy_mom Posted August 19, 2023 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2023 When I booked my cruise, the price NCL was charging for BOGO was the same I would pay for one ticket - I expected there to be a premium. So BOGO for 3 people would still be a true savings of one plane ticket.
