best free beaches or alternate excursion

I will be in Nassau on Oct 20 on MSC Seascape. No other ships will be in Nassau that day, so crowds should not be so bad. My two daughters will be with me, the youngest is 15. Blue Lagoon looks super fun with the dolphins and stingrays, but too expensive for us. What are the best free beaches in Nassau at this time of the year? Also, is there a place like monkeyland or other animals that you can interact with in Nassau? I'm thinking since we'll be in Ocean Cay the next day, that maybe the beach won't be worth going to
