Rare mizLORInj Posted October 23, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2023 So we were assigned a check-in time of 9:30am. It says the window is open for one hour. Thing is, we don't plan to arrive that early--we were targeting a 1pm arrival. Do I need to let MSC know this or can we just show up later? Wish they let you choose a check-in time like all the other cruise lines. . .

Do I need to let First thing check-in times are not enforced. The ship won't be cleared at 9:30a so you would not even be allowed to board. Check-in yes, not board. Second, your boarding time may and in most likely will change, mine did 7 times from your time to 30 minutes before the advertised sailing time which would not let me board as they have to submit the manifest to Homeland Security 60 to 90 minutes prior to sailing. Third, what is your sailing time and what is the cutoff time for check in two totally separate things.
Rare mizLORInj Posted October 23, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted October 23, 2023 OK good to know. Why would I want to get there that early to sit around a terminal for possibly hours before boarding. No thanks. Our check-in time showing on the app has not changed in the past month, but I do keep checking back hoping it will. I also asked our TA to see if we can change it 1pm, so we'll see what happens with that. Glad to know it isn't enforced.
