Adding kids to 2nd half of back to back cruises

Was wondering if anyone ever had experience of adding your kids to your room for the second leg of back to back cruise. We would be all staying in the same room but we would have to chance rooms in between cruises. Does anyone know how this process would work?

You book the two of you in one cabin for the first leg.  The second leg must be booked separately in a cabin that will accommodate four.  You can’t book it as one long cruise and add two more people halfway.  For exact info call your cruise line, and also ask here on the board for the line you want to sail.  EM
