It is such a weird time to be in port.

We have been to the Baths. Loved that!

 

Question: Is there a beach club/place/location that's open early that would have chairs, umbrellas, drinks, etc? Doesnt have to have lunch since we have to return to the ship so early.

 Was just in Tortola and did a cruise ship excursion but had time to hang out on Tortola after the excursion ended.  Asked the locals where the best place was to hang out on a beach.  They said Cane Garden Bay so we grabbed a taxi right outside the port and headed there.  The ride there is definitely memorable.  You go up and down steep hills.  The views are amazing.  Our driver that dropped us off asked what time we wanted to go back to the ship and he came back to the beach to transport us back to the boat.  The ride was maybe about 15 mins.  The beach had restaurants and bars.  We rented 2 chairs with an umbrella for $15.

Not sure what time the beach bars and restaurants open in CGB, but that beach is your best bet because there are several beach bars in this large bay. At least one or two should be open early to take advantage of the number of day visitors that will choose that beach for their day.

 

Some of your fellow passengers will book through the cruise line, but it is very easy to go on your own. Just hop a shared safari taxi going to CGB and you’ll pay the lowest taxi fare of $12/pp each way. Depending on the number of cruise passengers in port that day you will likely see several 20+ passenger taxis unloading folks at CGB. The taxis will return in time to get you back to the dock. If you want to return early and shop taxis stop in, and you can just ask where you are renting.
