1 more post about Corkage fees

Recommended Posts

I am going on the Spirit in Nov and have seen posts about bringing your own wine. Awesome as I can only drink 2 kinds of Merlot neither were carried when I went on the Dawn. So here we go. BTW the 2 wines are Blackstone and Blackbox ( had to give them a cheap plug maybe NCL will start carrying them)

1) Do I call NCL in advance to tell them I am bringing a case of wine for me and friends?

2) Do I pay in advance or at check in or charged to my on ?

3) Do I carry on or tell them it's in a suitcase?

4) Should I call them in advance to make sure you can still do this?

5) Can I bring box wine as it is easier to carry then bottles. 1 box is lighter then the bottles they equal.

6) Does NCL charge more for Boxxes?

7)Can I drink the wine or carry the Bottle/box/glass with me around the Spirit

Thank you for anyone who can help

You are going to pay $15 a bottle to bring a $10 Merlot onboard. Save your back there are equally as good wines available for that price onboard.

The intent of the corkage is to allow passengers to bring some "special" wines onboard not a bottles you drag around the ship.

You can carry it around as long as it is in a brown bag :D :D (that's a joke)

If you call and ask to bring a case they will say you can not even if it is not the case. :D
