People usually say Magens not good for snorkeling. This visitor thinks otherwise! This adds a new dimension to the Magens experience in addition to the great nature/hiking trail and the calm water.

Visitor was there in April 2024.

"Snorkeled up Magens Bay beach today. I had read there wasn’t good snorkeling there but on the right side of the beach there are so many fish. It’s like swimming in a fish farm tank. Schools and Schools of fish are all around you. Theres giant iguanas living in the rocks. it’s so shallow you can stand up and walk around on the sand, there’s some large rocks out a little bit farther from the shoreline and they’re just covered in live corals and little shell animals, and all kinds of interesting underwater plants ."
