We usually go to Grand Lucayan but it seems to have changed.

We are torn between Taino on the beach or Viva Wyndham resort.Does anyone have recommendations?

Grand Lucayan changed their Day Pass to something now called Prop Club which is a sister property next door, still have pool access, and nice soft sandy beach area, but it's not the same Resort area as previously offered.  But, basic Day Pass for $48 to have lounge chair, towel, access to pool and restrooms or $125 for unlimited food/drinks/alcohol. Beach service was also offered, as long as you tipped the server, they continued to come back and make sure you were taken care of.  Near the Lucayan Marketplace so easy to share taxi/shuttle with others in that direction.  Negative is they tend to have local DJ or Bands and it can be loud, also not many other activities offered here.

Viva Wyndham has more activities offered, so if you are looking to try out some watersport activities or traveling with kids/teens that need entertaining this would be a good option.  Nice private soft beach with many lounge chairs/umbrellas. Beach service was not offered here, at least not on the day I spent. Had to walk up to the poolside bar.  They had a nice pool, but the pool area was a bit more crowded.  Pro here is if weather is not great, there was inside activities and the open air bar by the pool was covered.  $89.00 for unlimited food/drinks/alcohol is a fair price for the full day.  As long as you understand that this is more of a moderate value property not luxury. Also it's about a 25 minute taxi ride, so that could cost an additional $25-$30 one way for 2-4 guests.
