Visby - walk into town??

Recommended Posts

Depends on your definition of easy. For an able-bodied person, I would say pretty easy. Just as you leave the port, there is a bridge/walkway you must climb to go up and over a road and back down. I would say equivalent to 3 flights of stairs. Other than that, it is a pretty level walk.

We are in Visby today and, full disclosure, due to difficulty managing stairs, I opted to take the free shuttle. We were told by the Cruise Director there would be no shuttle so it came as a nice surprise. I hope nobody chose not to go into town due to the stairs we were told we would have to climb.

I would say the majority of cruisers chose to walk to town.

Hope this helps.

There is a free shuttle? On videos, I saw that there were port shuttles but there was a fee.

Thanks for sharing the info.
