Shadowmeboy's "Bliss"ful 5 Night Pacific Coastal Cruise

Recommended Posts

8 hours ago, drumming cruisers said:

Beautiful pictures.  Butchart Gardens has changed quite a bit since we were there. Added some things it looks like. All the ships we go on now arrive late in the evening too dark for the gardens.

Thanks! Yeah, that is why we jumped on the opportunity to go on this cruise. I really wish Victoria wasn't short-changed like it always is.

Finally it was time to head to the VIP Art event

IMG_3226-L.jpg

We liked this Peter Max, but it wasn't in our budget after we splurged on an original Kre8 at a VIP land event in Seattle back in February.

IMG_2595-L.jpg

Here we are with Kre8 and the painting we bought after he signed it for us!

We loved this Ashton Howard original, but we were good.

IMG_8642-L.jpg

We got back to the room and found our laundry had returned and our picture package had arrived!

We got the bags out in the hall.

IMG_3232-L.jpg

We ended up purchasing this piece. We did it to fill a hole next to another by the same artist.

We then headed for dinner at Los Lobos.

Arriving into the Vancouver area

IMG_3242-L.jpg

IMG_8729-L.jpg

We headed to the comedy show

IMG_8731-L.jpg

IMG_3243-L.jpg

IMG_3244-L.jpg

The comedian was Jim McDonald. He was funny!

IMG_3245-L.jpg

IMG_3246-L.jpg

Then we headed up to deck 19 to stake a spot for passing under the Lions Gate Bridge. Due to the height of the Bliss, it can only enter/exit Vancouver on certain tides, allowing it to squeeze under the Lions Gate Bridge. We wanted to witness how close we get!

We got a picture with john Paul. This was the third ship we have sailed with him. We sailed the Breakaway with him, then the Spirit, and then here on the Bliss! He is an excellent photographer.

The MDR was crazy busy and had too long of a line. So it was off to the buffet.

IMG_3344-L.jpg

IMG_3345-L.jpg

Same stuff I would have ordered in the MDR and I got it faster.

IMG_3346-L.jpg

Plus they have squeeze bottles of mustard instead of a small cup of mustard for the potatoes.

We grabbed our bags and joined the line to leave the ship.

Goodbye Norwegian Bliss

This completed 19 nights on the Bliss for me. Susan has 12 nights on her. The Bliss is my second most sailed ship while the Star is Susan's second most sailed ship at 13 nights. We share the same number 1. We both have 36 nights sailed on the Sun (4 sailings!).

IMG_8782-L.jpg

IMG_3347-L.jpg

We went and sat outside to watch the coming and goings of the harbor.

Through Customs, checking bags to Seattle train side.

IMG_8891-L.jpg

We are fenced off because we have gone through US Customs before boarding the train.
