Tahitian Princess Cruise (Yes or No)

Just returned from the TP last week. Our 6th Princess cruise. We were concerned about the smaller ship but instead we loved it -- we were on 7th floor -- only 2 up to buffet and 2 down to dining. Missed anytime dining and 24-hour buffet. Loved the pizza. We are early 50s and did our 25th anniversary. There were 20-25 honeymooner couples onboard, but most everyone else 50 or more. Kids: 10 or fewer :D Very early to bed crowd -- some due to age and some due to so much fun in the fun and water during the day. The pool-side bar is closed at 8PM or so at night except Tahitian pool-side night. Shows and casino exist, though on a much smaller scale. The flight from/to LAX is long -- 8 hours, but ATN has movies and games at each seat. Heard many languages and accents onboard with an international mix instead of English only. We loved it but will probably not do it again for a few years.

My daughter and I took this cruise in February of 2005 and we enjoyed every minute of it. I would repeat this cruise anytime. There were alot of younger people on the cruise and my daughter was able to scuba dive with them. The flight from Indianapolis was long, but time passed quickly and the service on Air TahitiaNeu was exceptional. The scenery was unbelievable and all our tours were wonderful. The people are very friendly and really seem to like the tourists. Go if you can....you won't regret it!!:)

Hi there -

Ok I am 30 or (june 1st) and my Husband is 26 - we did the cook and marquesa iteneraries B2B for our honeymoon. The cook itenerary we brought 18 of our friends and family. We were also there the same tiem as you want to go!

About hte age group: it is DEFINITLY older than your typical caribbean cruise. this wasnt' really a problem for us on the 1st itenerary - beacsue we borught our own gang. Let me tell you we stood out a lot! in fact after talking with the staff ont he next cruise there were complainst about hte "staff members" and how they were too "friendly" and "not doing their jobs" that were DEFINITELY aimed at our group LOL!

the 2nd cruise our friends and family all went home and the age fo the boat went way up. there are a smattering of honeymooners but for the most part they stick to themselves...... :)

really though everyone was very friendly and so the age didn't bother us.

The cruise is FABULOUS!

Although I agree with the above poster - November is the begiing of the rainy season, as a diver I watch this a lot. our first itenerary was in oct. and it was better weather than the one in Nov.

my reviews are under "member reviews" on this board and if you want to see pictures email me at my cruisecritic name @ gmail dot com

We spent our honeymoon on Tahitian Princess last June. Love the cruise. It was the best cruise destination we've done. As far as age it's actually quite mixed. You'll see some older people but also a lot of young crowd. Lots of honeymooners, and just people enjoying it. We made more friends on that cruise than we did on any other. I am 32 and my wife is 28.
