No- these cabins are not handicapped accessible. The cabins with an X marked in there have atrue queen bed not twin beds put together.

these cabins are known as "L" Shaped cabins.

I had a L Shaped cabin on the Liberty- its not for me. I'd rather go on the aft and get the bigger balcony.

although the cabin looks bigger on the deck plan-- a lot of the sq footage can not be used in the cabin-- ex-- the long hallway. this is where they keep the closets.

the bathroom opens to the bed..although not a problem.

the space at thefoot of the bed and by the bathroom door is used for getting back & forth-- not good for anything. The only space we had to get dressed and ready for dinner was the area right before the vanity-- for two people this was tight.

Thanks - where is the door to the cabin itself? Is it in between the bed and couch? I was mostly interested in this cabin because of the longer balcony. Would like a category 9 but not sure I can justify the price with airfare being so high from Iowa so I was looking for a room that had a bigger balcony but a lower price.

The aft picture i showed is a regular 8A...just like the L shaped cabin. Both cabins will cost the same price. We booked 6350 on the Destiny-- pic above- cat 8A balcony. the pic above is 7326 I think.

This is NOT talking about the cat 9A wrap around. I could not afford that cabin even if I won the lottery...lol

not all cabins have the sofa..so if looking to book the cabin make sure you ask if one is in there, . We had no sofa and it was surely missed.

this was our space to get ready for the dinners. see what I meant by not enough room--lol

sure the balcony is long but you have to sit in the chairs on the side. the lounger will not be able to recline in the position that allows you too look out at the waters. (does that make sense to you??-

Juan Carlos: I stayed aft on the Victory and heard many people state that you can hear the band while on the upper deck-- and I stressed for many months. We sailed on the Victory and heard nothing. Which makes me wonder if these people did indeed stay in that cabin.

But then again too - -it would depend on the cruisers for your week.

I do have an aft cabin on the Destiny on the upper deck again. I will psot back to you on Set 25th

This is the first time that we have had a balcony on Carnival.

We enjoyed the extra space on the balcony a great deal. The balcony is twice as long as the other balconies in this same category (8A).

We had some mechanical issues with the room and these were resolved.

Air conditioning, hot water, and a paint thinner type odor.

As far as the noise from the lounge below. There were times when you could hear (and feel) the bass, but it was not terrible.

For us, it was a good choice of room to enjoy sail aways and the evenings.

Ken:)
