wardnlis Posted April 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2006 I wanted to get an opinion on a formal dress and shoes I just purchased for my Sept 8 cruise on Royal Caribbean EOS. First of all I have to say, I only paid $29 for this dress at Strawbridges last month and the Nordstrom's page I just found it on has it for $168! My question is about the shoes, my concern is that the bottom of the shoe that sticks out a little around my toes is black and I wasn't sure if it would look strange with such a light dress? The stones in the pin on the dress match the stones in the shoes! Any opinions on jewelry would be helpful, I'll be wearing my hair down, too many short layers to put it up. momofslg Posted April 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2006 Very pretty! What a deal on the dress. I think there wouldn't be any problems with wearing both together.
Happy ks Posted April 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2006 I'd not worry about it one bit! Your dress and shoes are lovely :) .
caribbean dreams Posted April 8, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2006 I would not worry about it and i think they look great together. No one will even notice the tiny bit of black on the inside of the shoe.
caviargal Posted April 8, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 8, 2006 I agree. Great buy on a very pretty dress and the shoes will be great with it.
Ehpride Posted April 8, 2006 #6 Share Posted April 8, 2006 I think that'd be fine. Very pretty dress! I'd say no necklace or if you do something simple, but pretty dangling gold/bronze earrings to match the jewelry on the dress. Maybe some gold/bronze rhinestone barrettes in your hair?
