NCL's shipboard credit/bonus deals--worth waiting for?

I am thinking of booking the Jewel and I know one day last week they had the shipboard credit bonus. Do you think it's worth waiting for another one of these or should we just book? LOL I know you can't really answer that but I'm curious--does anyone know if they raise their prices when they give away something "free" ? If that's the case I wouldn't bother to wait, however, if it's really a bonus I might.

I was told on Wed., they are going to run a special every Wed.

In my case not worth it as Spirit was a $75 per balcony on board credit and I booked the next day when the price was down by $100 pp.

 

So my advice, the specials are not really worth it, watch the cabin price on their site.
