Anyone back from Conquest 4/16 - 4/23

Did anyone come back from the Conquest which sailed 4/16? We sailed it and thought it was great. We would love to hear your opinions. Review to follow a little later.

I will be writing a review at some point, but I completely agree with you. A very good cruise indeed:)

 

While there were some negatives for me, I felt the cruise staff, the shows, the food, the ports, pretty much everything, caused me to enjoy the cruise more than I thought I would, definitely beyond my expectations.

We were on the Conquest 4/16 - 4/23 and LOVED it - our 3 kids had a blast and can't wait for us to book another! This has been my fourth Carnival cruise and I think this was the best by far.

i have been on 10 cruises....4 rccl, 2 ncl, 1 princess, 1 celebrity and 2 carnivals. this 4/16 conquest cruise was the best! i thought the service was excellent (unfortunately my cabin steward joey couldn't fit in my suitcase), the food was excellent (my 17 yr old discovered macaroni and cheese in the dining room when he saw the little girl at the next table get some) and the employees were very friendly. they had a lot of people from louisiana on this cruise, including me. we all passed a good time sha!

 

carnival seemed to be well organized with everything!

Any of ya'll save the kids capers for the Conquest? Would love to read them. I have a nine year old and we are going in 3 months.:)

I was on it. Everything was great. Well debarkation kind of sucked. It took a long long time. The porter told us it was a new system they were trying for the 1st time.

i found the embarkation was good for all the people they had...but, i noticed one line was much shorter than the other.

 

debarkation is another thing....we stood in line for immigration 45 minutes while the idiot immigration man saw 2 people. i finally complained to a carnival person and they went to see what was going on. we were then moved to another line. the line we were in was next to us and that immigration guy was doing about 1 family every 1-2 minutes.....go figure!

 

hhhhmmm, i miss joey my cabin steward right now and i answer the phone, "i would like to order room service". lol

 

i am dreaming of mac and cheese from the dining room (my son got me hooked on that) and food from the wok, or maybe some pizza or a burger.

 

oh yea, a pina cola from the casino....it's 5:00 somewhere.

We were also on the Conquest 4/16 - 23/06.

 

WE LOVED IT TOO.....

 

This was our second cruise and there will certainly be another one in the next year or so.

 

I don't know off hand of a bad comment. We had good luck in all the ports. Never really bothered by people. Maybe a couple of locals asked us to buy something. Jamaica, I was worried about, turned out to be fine. We went to Doctor's Cave Beach by Taxi. Will do this again, loved it. Only stayed a couple of hours. Wanted to do shopping and touring around. Shopped at the City Center or something like that. Got my little girl (6) a dress. Got lots of junk. Had fun. Just need to be cautious. Always hold hands, I tell my daughter....

 

Did the stingrays in Grand Caymon. It was our first time so it was wonderful. However other people talk about all the stingrays that rub up and around you. We did not get that. But it was still great. We got to touch, hold, and kiss one stingray that they had caught for us. She was fat and ready to have babies soon. That is what they told us...

 

Went to Paradise Beach in Cozumel. Very nice too. Everything they talked about was true. Great place. A little rocky and hard to walk on without water shoes. We were prepared thanks to everyone who told us from this website. But that is not PB's fault. Great Beach.. Clean restrooms. Was able to get cleaned up and go do more shopping....

 

We had a great week.... Could not have asked for anything better. As they ask on the comment card. Exceeded our expectations.....

 

Would go again in a minute, if it was free. But since it is not it will be a year or so. Got to go back to work....

 

Thank you to everyone who put information in on their trips so I was able to be prepared for mine.

I too was on this cruise....in a word "AWESOME"

Weather, food, service and ship were all excellent!!! Couldn't have asked for better.

Our first night on board my daughter's boyfriend got down on one knee and popped the question and she said yes....it was very special. So, my cruise for next year will now be a wedding...

I enjoyed meeting my fellow Cruise Critic members....it's good to put a face with the name....thanks!!
