CarRex Posted May 11, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2006 Are the casinos open while at sea in Alaskan waters? I saw that the Pearl makes one Canadian stop, so that fulfills the requirement for stopping at a foreign port. But what about while in American waters around Alaska? johnql Posted May 11, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2006 The casino is definitely open while at sea on an Alaskan cruise.
KeystoneCruiser Posted May 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2006 I was on the Star last summer. The casino opened about 2 hours after we left Seattle(Sunday); was open all day Monday and closed about an hour before we reached our first stop in Juneau on Tuesday. It then opened Tuesday night as we sailed from Juneau to Skagway but was closed all day on Wednesday while in Skagway. (we docked pre-dawn) On Thursday and Friday (sea days), it was open. Then on Saturday, it closed about 2 hours before docking in Victoria and remained closed the rest of the cruise. (we were back in Seattle on Sunday morning)
