Orlando airport to Port Canaveral - distance?

any idea what kind of distance we're talking? is it worth using RC for the trip to and from the airport, or would a taxi work just fine? (we'll be on Mariner on Aug 27th).

45 minute ride may be expensive cab ride can you arrange transportation through the cruise line..... thats what we did... nice bus ride

You can rent a car at MCO and drop it off at the Port (and vise versa for after the cruise). We have a car rental from Budget for just a little over $40 in October.

A taxi is the most expensive way to go. It is about 40 miles and about an hour each way from MCO to the port. Last time I checked RCI was $25 per person each way. They take you to and from the terminal to the airport door without the hassle of dropping off a rental car. If there are only 2 of you going, this might be the best bet. If there are three or more, check with rental car agency.
