Mexican Rivera in June

I noticed that almost all of the Mexican Rivera cruises stop in the summer months and the ships are redeployed elsewhere. We are looking to cruise in mid-late June, and have already been to the Caribbean and Alaska so we thought this would be a nice change. Is it a bad time to go there...too hot, bugs, etc??? Is that part of the reason that the ships are elsewhere? Any other ideas departing from the US??

Actually, this isn't true. Yes, ships relocate - but both RCCL's Legend of the Seas & Carnival's Pride sail the Mexican Riviera all summer. Princess does until May or so, but then it head's up to Alaska. Yes, alot of cruiselines change their position to get Alaska in, but there are two ships cruising the Riviera now, and I know the RCCL's Legend repositioned at the end of May from Hawaii to do this. You should have no problem booking for next June. Yes, the weather is humid, but not that bad. We sailed last week and it was fine.

 

If you are looking at 2005's schedule, the lines just have not posted all of the sailings yet, so keep looking. Also, Disney's Magic will also be sailing the Mexican Riviera in the summer of 2005. Very expensive, but it will be there.

We've done the Mexican Riviera in June and the weather in Mexico was lovely, nice and warm. The sea days were a little cool and windy, so remember to take along a sweater/jacket.

 

We've also gone in October...the sea days were warmer but the weather in Mexico was about the same.
