larablair Posted May 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 30, 2006 Any past cruisers to the Baltics go on the Stutthof & Gdansk City Tour? If so would appreciate your opinions. My DH is very interested in touring a concentration camp in Poland. Thank you.
Druke I Posted May 30, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2006 Last August, on Regatta into the Baltic, I did the city tour of old Gdansk, and enjoyed it very much. I don't recall them offering a tour to a concentration camp; but if they had, I would probably have passed. I did tour another concentration camp on a Germany/Austria land tour, and while it certainly was interesting, it was extremely sobering (depressing?). ddcruiser Posted May 30, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 30, 2006 We did both Gdansk and Stuffhof last summer. Both very interesting. Stutthof was last camp to close, filled with terrible survivor stories, particularly from women. Suggest you buy the Stutthof booklet. We didn't and I had to borrow someone's. mmark14 Posted June 1, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2006 We are touring the concentration camp this August with toursinpoland. DDcruiser---could you tell me where to purchase the booklet---at the concentration camp itself or at home? Thanks for the info.
