skittles13neaston12 Posted June 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2006 Can anyone tells us the theme for our cruise sept 3? What about things to do in St. Marteen besides the shops? Any secluded places for a romantic private wedding?
wallie5446 Posted June 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2006 Ship docks on the Dutch side, lots of great beach's on the French side, but dont look at the 'old' folk with no clothes:D A great tour is one of the catermans. Weddings at Sea plans them all over.
tarheelmjfan Posted June 3, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2006 You may want to consider getting married on the ship, or before your cruise. It's not uncommon for ships to be rerouted due to hurricanes in Sept. It would be horrible to plan a wedding on one of the islands, & the ship not be able to go there. :(
skittles13neaston12 Posted June 10, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted June 10, 2006 I have specifically scheldued our flight for the day before for just this reason. If you will be cruising w/ us please drop us a line.... EXPLORER OF THE SEAS ADVENTURE OF THE SEAS AND SOON MARINER OF THE SEAS
Sheffie Posted June 10, 2006 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2006 A great excursion in St. Maarten is the America's Cup Regatta. Cruisers are put into teams which sail on different boats that were in the real America's Cup. Everyone will have a job to do, from grinders, to winch wenches, to timekeepers to barkeepers! We were lucky enough to draw the Stars and Stripes and we beat True North! You can only book this excursion through the ship. Here is a link to our fun time on Stars and Stripes:http://community.webshots.com/album/528943965HpvFnj When you are on that page, on the left is a link to pictures from our time at Pinel Island off St. Maarten from this year's cruise. I agree with Tarheel about the wedding - I have heard of too many people being very upset because the ship did not make a port where they had their wedding planned. Congrats on the upcoming wedding and have a great cruise!
