There is not an excursion available for our port stop from Ecstasy.

Any good recommendations for tour operators to C.I. or Uxmal?

OR

Can you just hire a driver & van from the port to one of these places.

I have checked the internet and Yucantoday.com and haven't found much.

Thanks!

Still looking for answers.

Does anyone know if you can just hire a driver and cab (or preferably van) from the port and have them drive you to the C.I or Uxmal? Any idea on cost for 4 people?

Thanks.

I'm going on a 5 day on Ecstasy in November. Carnival does offer separate excursions to those sites on the 5 day.

I've read repeatedly on this forum that it's easy to get a taxi/van after you arrive. Then you can hire a guide on site if you like.

We'll be touring Dzib 'cause it's so much closer.

We did the CI tour through Carnival and thought it was kind of a waste. Its suppose to be a 7hr tour, but its 2 hours there by bus, stop 30min to shop and potty break, 2 hours at CI, and then 2 hours bus ride back. The guides were great and the buses were big coaches with A/C, but I think I would have rather spent my time elsewhere.

Have fun whatever you decide !!
