walking tours - moderate or strenous experiences

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm wondering about the definition of moderate

or strenous walking tours in Baltic ports such

as Tallinn and other places- is it referring to

length of tour as well as the grade of hills or

speed of walking in the tours?

Did the moderate vs strenous tags match up

with your experience?

Thanks for your help!

We did not find any of the walking tours especially strenuous. I think more than anything, it would be the duration of the tour. In Tallinn you are dealing with cobblestoned, hilly streets and steps, so that would make it a bit more strenuous depending on what you are comfortable with. But any large tour we have been with does not really move all that fast. Tallinn, by the way, is not difficult to do on your own. They have a good tourist office close to the entrance of the old town, which gave us a map with a walking tour highlighted and then we were able to go at our own pace and really enjoy our time there.
