Need help with locating a beach for kids

We loved Paradise Beach in Cozumel. Buy drinks/food, use the chairs, toys and beach for free. It was a wonderful day for us. We are going to miss Paradise Beach this trip but I would like to know of some similar places in the Caribbean. We will be visitiing

 

San Juan, Puerto Rico with two small children.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Check out SusieCruisie's thread if you haven't seen it. I suggested some

hotels that may offer day passes, have nice facalities children might enjoy.

Don't know of any like the one in Cozumel. It sounded great!:cool:

I will also be cruising to SanJuan for the first time looking for a safe beach. I spoke to someone who goes there alot. She recommended a day pass at one of the hotels. Hotels she recommended were Caribe Hilton, Ritz Carlton, and El SanJuan. They have nice pools and safe beaches. These motels are in the Isle Verde area. I'm not sure yet how to get to them from the cruise Pier. Actually I'm not even sure yet which pier our ship the Crown Princess will be docking at. She said to stay away from the Candada Area. Also, I've seen some recommendations for the Marriott. Upon further investigation, the ocean there is very choppy and rough. Not recommended by Frommers either, bad undertow.

I've stayed at both the Caribe Hilton and the Marriott. Both hotels are safe. But, the beaches at the Caribe Hilton have protected areas and very little wave action. The beaches at the Marriott are right on the Atlantic Ocean and are very rough!!! I would not recommend it for small children or inexperienced swimmers.
