Appropriate clothing for Baltic cruise

Howdy Realtor at Sea!

Welcome to Cruise Critic and the Help Forum! 04.gif

I fully understand your need to know more information about the clothing and weather for the ports on your cruise. However, you have posted on the Help Forum where members find information about the board's software and how to use it. This is not the place for your type of post and the information you seek is off topic. 05.gif

Per the Community Guidelines and to help you out, I have moved your thread to the Ports of Call - Baltic Ports Forum where it will be on topic. I sincerely hope you will be able to find it in the new location!

Glad to have you aboard Cruise Critic and I sincerely hope you have a wonderful cruise!

In Helsinki the weather has been pretty warm so far this summer. There's been only a handful of days with any kind of rain, and the temperature's been around 25C / 80F in the afternoon. Of course there's always the occasional wind when you're at the seaside.

The bad news is that it's bound to drop below 15C / 60F, and rain throughout the day sometime in the summer.

Personally I've found it best to walk around the city in a t-shirt, and carry a light jacket (and an umbrella) in my backpack.

I can't guarantee what the conditions are like in other cities, but Helsinki is the Northest city in the Baltic tours, and is among those most exposed to the sea winds.

Just returned todya and the weather has been 80F and above for the last 12 days. We only wore Tshirts - our jackets and umbrellas stayed in the wardrobe.

we were on your cruise at the same time last year (8/7/05) and found that the weather varied throughout the day. In the morning, it might be cool and overcast, and by the afternoon, it was sunny and clear. Other days it would rain...We ended up wearing layers. Jeans and t-shirts with a light jacket or sweatshirt in ports seem to help the most during our stay...

Hope you have a great trip!!
