I just read in this morning's travel section about the new itinerary for Splendour for December 2007-March 2008. A lot of new destinations....YAHOO. It will be departing from the Dominican Republic. Has anyone else heard about this?

I just read in this morning's travel section about the new itinerary for Splendour for December 2007-March 2008. A lot of new destinations....YAHOO. It will be departing from the Dominican Republic. Has anyone else heard about this?

The new departure port (Santo Domingo) and itinerary were part of a larger announcement made by RCI in May. Since then, however, they have announced that the Legend of the Seas, rather than the Splendour, will be sailing from Santo Domingo. The two ships are practically identical, so the change shouldn't make any significant difference. You can check out the itinerary etc. on the RCI website.:)
