Sun Inaurural New Orleans 10/15

It is my understanding that the Oct. 15th cruise out of New Orleans is the first cruise out of N.O. since Katrina hit, does anyone know that for sure? If it is does anyone know if any special events that the city or NCL will put on, i.e. fireboats, etc.

To answer your question I dont know, but I sure hope so becuase it'll be my honeymoon cruise and something extra special is always good.

I did a search and it sure seems like the SUN will be the first out of NO...although I'd bet that if there is any extra bruhaha it would be as the ship enters NO from it's repositioning

AS far as anything special being planned I have no clue, but it will be the first ship to sail out of NOLA> let's all keep our eyes and ears open, I would imagine something will be planned. NMNita

I sure hope so as we are booked on it and it is a real honor. Hopefully New Orleans is comming back, slowly.
