PeggyCTB Posted July 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2006 We will be in Zeebrugge in September from 10:00 AM to 6:00PM. Our ship is not doing a tour to Brussels and last year we spent the day in Bruges. Hence,we were thinking about going to Ostend, a resort town on the coast. I read that there is a tram, the Kusttram, connecting these towns. Unfortunately, that web site is in Dutch.Has anyone visited this area? Does anyone have any info on this tram service? Thanks in advance for anything you can tell me.
gratefulguy Posted July 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2006 I googled "Belgian Coast Tram" and found a few sites in English, but the site you found seems to be the only one with the actual timetable. You may not need to worry though, because the sites I could read indicated the tram is easy to get on at Oostende near the train from Bruges. You may have to click on several links within these sites, but eventually, there is info on ticket prices (and your Dutch language site has a map.) http://www.oostende.be (then click on the British flag for English) http://www.tbteurope.com http://belgium.igougo.com http://www.visitbelgium.com http://ari.b-holding.be http://members.virtualtourist.com I was only in Oostende once (in October), but I remember how interesting the light was and how windy the beach! Have a great time.
