Just heard about it today as a matter of fact. My DW's co-workers is also a TA and say's it is one of the best places to eat in the Caribbean.

We made a reservation today for August 29th. we shall see.

I was there for dinner in December 2004. I no longer eat red meat, however, my friend that went with me was craving a good steak.

Lots of people will tell you it's the best beef on the island. My friend loved it. I thought she was going to lick the plate after she devoured her meal. I ordered a seafood platter. Not so good. However, it was still a decent meal for me. The pumpkin soup was very good there.

If you plan on going, definitely get a reservation. When my friend and I went, it was a last minute decision and we waited over close to 2 hours for a table for 2.

The local # there is 582-3677 or you can find them online at http://www.elgaucho-aruba.com.
