Old Pete Posted August 16, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2006 My wife and I sailed Azure Seas in September 91 to Eastern Caribbean. it was our first cruise together and we hade a BLAST! It was with sadness that I learned she was sold for scrap in 2004. The Fond Memories will always stay. dougnewmanatsea Posted August 16, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 16, 2006 Here is another excellent resource for SOUTHERN CROSS/CALYPSO/AZURE SEAS/OCEANBREEZE information and photos. She certainly was one of the more unusual-looking ships one would see in US ports from the 1980s through the 2000s!

Parrotgirl Posted July 28, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 28, 2007 Azure Seas was our second cruise in 1990. We did the LA, San Diego, Catalina Island, Ensenada trip and really had a blast, even though it was a short cruise. All good things must come to an end and I wasn't surprised to hear that she had been scrapped.
