tg_lindo Posted August 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2006 not in my recent experience......but almost Infinity/Hawaii 10-nighter had 2 or 3 parties (I forget) on the pool deck that began around 11pm, each with food buffets. On the second formal night, the grand buffet began around 12mn in the main dining room and was spectacular Millenium/Caribbean 7-nighter had 2 late night poolside buffets and on the second formal night, the grand buffet began around 12mn in the main dining room and was spectacular On the other nights, waiters stroll the lounges and casino with "gourmet bites" that are nice finger foods. eVader Posted August 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 10, 2006 As first timer off the Summit 2 wks ago we had one Midnight Buffet at the end of the cruise week. It was pretty spectacular and it amazed me how so many people could wait in line for 20+ mins to run through and preview\photograph the displays then return to another long line to get to eat it. Our MB had a ton of seafood in multiple variations, salads, pastas, deli meat & veggie platters, Beef Wellington and of course lots of desserts. Veteran cruisers can better say if any don't do it or frequency but hopefully this helps.
espmass Posted August 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2006 Last time I was on the Constellation (11/05) I believe they had two big fancy midnight buffets. The other nights they had "gourmet bites" which is where they have wait staff walking through the various lounges, etc serving trays of fancy finger foods. I'll be on the Constellation again in December so it will be interesting to see if that has changed.
rjg41 Posted August 10, 2006 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2006 A Celebrity restaurant manager on a recent cruise told us that Celebrity considers its' Grand Buffet a "brand" feature and he sees little chance it will be discontinued.
