Ecstasy Review 08/07/06

We arrived at the port around Noon went very quickly through the check in line less than 20 minutes and then waited in the chairs for about 15 minutes so not long at all, we were told our rooms wouldn't be ready until 1:30 however having cruised before we knew we could check and see, so we went to the Empress Deck and found that our rooms were ready, My Husband spends alot of time in the Casino so our Casino Host had the room decoratedand sent a wine and fruit basket very nice. We stored our carry ons and headed to Lunch the buffett was very good, after Lunch we roamed the ship ande had a drink of the day which by the way has gone up to 7.95 for the souvenir glass. We had the early seating dinner unless you have young children that need to eat early our friends that traveled with us did so we chose early, I would recommend late seating, we felt very rushed, we seemed to have to slam down our dessert and coffee, which is something we like to linger over, since it is a rare occurance for us to be able to slow down long enough to do this. The food was outstanding all week, there was not one meal that we didn't enjoy and our servers were terrific. If you like to go to the shows the Extreme Country Show is a must, not sure what night it was I think Thursday. Robert in the neon bar is great and so is the band in China Town. All in All it was a wonderful cruise a Beautiful Ship and an Outstanding Crew.If you have a future Cruise you will not be disappointed at least in my opinion.

Thanks for the wonderful review, we sail on 9/23 and it will be our first cruise.

How was the formal night, and what did most of the women wear ? I am trying to decide on whether to wear a cocktail or long dress. Husband will be wearing a black suit. Can't wait to go, counting down the day.

Thanks for your review!! I am thinking about booking the Ecstasy for 5 nt cruise that ends on Thanksgiving Day. I have only done 7 night cruises on larger ships so reading these reviews are so helpful in making my decision!! Thanks!
